Other People’s Films: Clefs à Mon Coeur

A clever montage from autumn 2011, produced by Laura Kay Rudat in association with San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking. Full discussion after the jump.

Cinematography by Randy Hall (VOM Productions), directed by Laura Kay Rudat. Shot on Panasonic AG-HVX200 at Salle Pianos in San Francisco (Market & Gough, where apparently everything happens in San Francisco).

A rainy day, and Laura was upset because she wanted the sunset to be a critical component of the film. However, she did a great job of making lemonade from what she was handed, and it turned out to be quite lovely.

Best part of the shoot was when I recommended that Beth (the actor in the film) should run her hand along the side of the grand piano while we shoot a closeup of it. Very nice!

Oh, by the way, pianos are HEAVY.Randy Hall
